Yayasan Prasati Perdamaian (YPP) is a non-profit organization established in January 2008. YPP focuses on peacebuilding and conflict transformation through research, community engagement, and evidence-based programs. YPP works in the field of Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), particularly on the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals affected by extremism, including former offenders and vulnerable groups. Through community-based approaches, YPP aims to strengthen social cohesion and community resilience. The organization also pays close attention to gender- and child-sensitive approaches by supporting women and children affected by terrorism-related cases. This work is carried out in collaboration with government institutions, civil society organizations, and local communities.
YPP is looking a dynamic, creative, and detail-oriented Communications and Knowledge Management Officer. This role is central to shaping and amplifying YPP’s narrative in peacebuilding and Countering Violent Extremism (CVE). The candidates will be responsible for managing strategic communications, documenting program implementation, and capturing knowledge and lessons learned from the field, and will work closely with program teams, beneficiaries, and partners to produce high-quality content, ensure accurate and ethical storytelling, and strengthen the organization’s visibility, learning, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies to effectively convey YPP’s work in peacebuilding and CVE to diverse audiences, ensuring accurate and sensitive messaging.
- Produce high-quality content (articles, social media, visuals, videos) and manage digital platforms to enhance organizational visibility and engagement.
- Lead the documentation of program activities, including field stories, case studies, and success stories, ensuring ethical and respectful representation of beneficiaries.
- Capture, organize, and disseminate lessons learned, best practices, and program insights to support organizational learning and donor reporting.
- Work closely with program teams and partners to gather content, strengthen communication practices, and ensure alignment with YPP’s values and safeguarding standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Development Studies, or a related field (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in communications, media, or knowledge management is preferred; internships, volunteer work, or campus projects are considered.
- Strong skills in content creation (writing, storytelling, basic photography and videography), and familiarity with design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar).
- Excellent writing and storytelling ability in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to translate complex program information into clear and engaging content.
- Understanding of ethical communication principles, including safeguarding, confidentiality, and respectful representation when working with vulnerable groups (e.g., former offenders, women, and children).
