Yayasan Prasati Perdamaian (YPP) is a non-profit organization established in January 2008. YPP focuses on peacebuilding and conflict transformation through research, community engagement, and evidence-based programs. YPP works in the field of Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), particularly on the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals affected by extremism, including former offenders and vulnerable groups. Through community-based approaches, YPP aims to strengthen social cohesion and community resilience. The organization also pays close attention to gender- and child-sensitive approaches by supporting women and children affected by terrorism-related cases. This work is carried out in collaboration with government institutions, civil society organizations, and local communities.
YPP is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer. This role is important in supporting the quality, accountability, and continuous improvement of YPP’s peacebuilding and Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) programs.The MEL Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing monitoring frameworks, collecting and analyzing data, and generating insights to support program design and decision-making. The selected candidate will work closely with program teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure that activities are properly monitored, evaluated, and aligned with project goals, while maintaining ethical standards in handling sensitive data and working with vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks, including indicators and tools aligned with project goals and donor requirements.
- Oversee data collection, verification, and database management, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with ethical standards.
- Conduct regular monitoring, including field visits, and track progress against targets to support timely decision-making.
- Support baseline, midline, and endline evaluations, and produce insights and recommendations to improve program effectiveness.
- Prepare analytical reports and dashboards, and strengthen staff capacity in MEL practices, tools, and data use.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning within NGO or development programs
- Experience in peacebuilding, CVE or social programs is highly preferred.
- Strong ability in developing MEL frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools; proficiency in data analysis (quantitative and qualitative) and familiarity with tools such as Excel, KoboToolbox, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical thinking and ability to produce clear, evidence-based reports for both internal and donor audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and work respectfully with vulnerable populations (including women, children, and individuals affected by extremism).
