Earned his Masters and Ph.d in media studies from School of Media Arts and Studies, Ohio University, USA, Putut Widjanarko now is the Vice President of Mizan Publika (the holding company of Mizan Group). In 2009, he co-founded Paramadina Graduate School of Communications, Paramadina University, and served its first Director for four years. He has published a book Elegi Gutenberg: Memposisikan Buku di Era Cyberspace (2000) and co-edited Reinventing Indonesia: Menemukan Kembali Masa Depan Bangsa (2008).
